I am thinking of running for students' council. Tips?

  How do I get about making it a success? Anyone experienced enough to lend a helping hand? I would definitely like to know what kind of speeches are best, publicity stunts, poster suggestions, etc. Basically, I have no previous experience but I have recently found a strong passion for the students' coucil. Yup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  popularity matters most.... if youre popular with the people ard you, you'll get more votes provided you're capable enuff. sometimes looks do play a part too. (small one though) anyways, carry urself well.. dont pon lectures n tutorials so fast yet (may led to teachers havin a bad impression of u) and make an impactful speech in frnt of everyone when its ur turn fer the hustings... all the best dude.

  No wonder I never liked students' council presidents. For your info in case you may be interested, I have actually dethroned a president because of his insincerity.
