  Pronounce in dialect should be 'Tang' , pronounce in Mandarin should be 'Tan'. Uhhh...I think so.

  I remember reading somewhere on the Straits Times. In SG, the most common surname is Tan followed by LEE then Lim.

  if want to compare surname, best to compare the chinese one. cos due to different dialects, the same chinese surname might have different english surname, like wong and ng are huang2, quek and kok are guo1, etc
