  Well Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys and Erasure are the more dominant techno bands of my era. During that time either you are into pop, techno or heavy metal. I listen to all three but lean more to metal.
  
  I like Master and Servant from Depeche Mode and It's A Sin by Pet Shop Boys and Little Respect by Erasure

  cool...rock music certainly rocks our lives..
  
  some pop are being play into punk by some unknown bands..they usually called it punk covers.
  
  I Want It That Way by backstreet boys got the punk rock version..quite cool..and so it ghostbusters soundtrack
