I will invest in e hse in MY, and go over as and when i like...

but i think malaysia will be slower.. and i can always come down to singapore.... -

1) safety :- definitely SG wins
2) cost of living e.g. eating, shopping, varieties, pirated CD :- Malaysia wins
3) housing :- malaysia wins
4) car :- about the same for entry/low range car e.g. Toyota VIOS
5) books: same price. But with pirated books :- malaysia wins a wee bit
6) national service: half year in MY (not really tough: boys and girls), 2-3 years in SG with continous year (only boys)
7) education: SG wins but too competitive is not good for kids.
medical: SG wins
9) kiasu attitude: malaysia wins. sometimes, i don't like singapore's kiasu culture, and singaporeans are relatively arrogant.
9) long term view for economy: MY wins. don't think SG has a bright future in 10-20 year time. othewrise, SG will not build casino.
10) next generation environement: MY wins. i don't want my kids to be raised in SG. Feel that kids nowadays in singapore are greenhouse's plant. Low class job - don't do. too pampered. may not up to challenges.
above are just personal views. you probably have cases totally against the statements above. But it's just my views and/or my friends' views. -
Addition:
government: same. SG government department is efficiencient and clear. however, Rules are set by them. so they make sure they squeeze the last drop from normal people. For MY, you may have back-door access.
politcis: same. Malays wins in MY but SG is too restritive. think of white elephant T-shirt. -

- A bungalow with nice garden
- higher crime than singapore
- more things to do during weekend
- cheaper living expense
- still got money left to invest.. may retire early
also, there are things to do in singapore as well. it is whether you wanna go and do them or not. -

Forget to add cuz msia a lot of land and you not fussy and can pay money you no need to have your dead body cremated like spore. You can opt for burial underground just like what we see in the movies -
i think at the end, the key is:
1) stay in a bungalow with a big garden in a gated community and forego somethig e.g. less safe in malaysia
or
2) stay in condo and have safer environment. -

I know it is not all good and perfect in Msia. But it is not that bad either. I would like to let people know that it is definitely not as bad as some of you might tink. I have managed to lead a peaceful and happy life for 18 years there, so I think I have enuff experience to vouch for that
JB district has 2 hospital. the new one has not been officially use yet.
In JB, GH hospital fees is only 43 cents or 1 ringgit and u can have packs and packs of medicine.
Specialist only cost RM5 nia. That is why there was a time where lots of sporean went JB GH. In spore, the GH was so nice that it has the cost of a PRIVATE hospital.
i got 1 million, i will stay at JB or Ipoh(nice food, safer and much cheaper than KL)
Stay in JB better, can anytime come back to spore.
