In the 18th century, men who exihibited aristcratic or poetic impressions were favourite among women. Aristocrats and Poets were preferred by women of the time.
In the early 19th century, Men who exibited boyish charms and romantic prowess had the cake. Leo in Titanic type of character
Int he 40s- 60s, Men who were mysterious and wearing black all the time took the cake with the women. Men like Jack Nicolson
After World War 2 Then in the 70s to 90s, Hollywood Glamour men Arnold n Stallone who exibited brute musculanity and caveman behaviour took the cake.Because of the effect of World War, women grew up favouring such tendencies
Now in the 2000s, Intelligence, Asset power, nurturing educated men taking the cake. Men like Matt damon, Ben Affleck. The generation of men brought up by women after the post oppression period of gender equality. So these gorup of men are epxected to have "providing" abilities and characters. -
like u said , intelligent , asset , power and educated men. Never about men who are very feminine. Women want men that are like a pillar , that breathes confidence. I dont see any signs of it. Machoness may be dying out. Classic example in sg. In the 80s and 90s, Gangsters and Ah bengs proved to be popular amng women with the nerds pushed aside.
