My husband's friend wife is a SIA girl.
Look ok only. Met her once. Didn't know her occupation then but could guess immediately. Too many tell-tale signs.
Her nails, the way she spoke and the way she carried the serving tray (was during X'mas visit)
Anyway I received confirmation later that she is a SIA girl. -

the SIA girls has more to do.
First, is to feed the passengers with food, drinks, towel etc.
Next, if someone vomits, its them whos cleaning up the mess. They also has to hold the plates of food etc in a specific manner etc..
And the salary.. is in the region of about $5000 upwards i guess..? As mentioned, the standards had dropped? Reason.. maybe due to more Malaysians being "Singapore girls"?
On the ugly side, when the girls are at waiting to board the plane or just alighted, u can always spot them one big bunch smoking with pilots in one corner.. No lies..!
And, if u all have a chance to go inside SIA Training Centre, u can see them training in a model aeroplane -
Standard for looks of SIA girls must have dropped alot. Have seen so many their looks cannot make it, like kena lang-ga by lorry. Not all lah, but I'd say mostly. So girls, wanna make good money, and don't mind travelling, go for it. You don't need looks, just need determination and shrewdness I guess.

The pay depends on the rank...
stewardess -> Leading stewardess -> Chief stewardess -> Inflight supervisor
Inflight supervisors earn much more than $5k, i can assure you.
My neighbour is an SIA inflight supervisor, and recently bought a brand new Lexus GS300. -
Wow... not bad. U guys met the nicer ones. Unfortunately .. i met the hardcore ones. I met 3 at this club. Well, not really club but this night outlet. After getting to know them n 2 bottles , i realized that they swear alot n dun seem to be the same as during in the cabin! Not to mention they are hardcore drug users man! But i met up with them for 3 more occasions.. have to say.. sometimes they dun seem as what they really seem
but i had a good time.. -
