i just apply for chem and biomol eng in ntu...can somebody tell me more abt the course...isit very tough to study? how high is my chance of staying in a hostel in the first yr and subsequent years...how do the sch decide who get to stay there?

then U need to decide whether U want to accept the offer...cos some dun like the location of the hall...too far or what....then move in already see if the people there makes a lot of noise...got some halls quite noisy one...dunno why...like hall6 and hall2...at night can hear dong dong chiang from the lion dance practice....sometimes U dun like the room-mate also...
after all the people in the priority schemes like PSC scholars,foreign students,first year freshies,etc get their places...the computer does the selection. -

as for ur chance for applying hall... 100% can get in. since they will give 1st priority for freshies. even if u applied late, the sch will try to allocate a place for u.
as for subsequent years of staying, now is different from past as cca point is apolish. they will give priority for oversea students, students who stay far away from the sch, or final year student who nvr get chance to live in hall before.

last min just before exams not worth the money...pay rental for few months of holidays...and basically stay for just 1 sem...no point. -

Hmmz, when I go relative hse during CNY or something, I kinda feel that weird look when I say I'm from NTU.
The looks like ," NTU only ah??".
Maybe it's the old gen mentality that NTU not as good as NUS. -
