POLY School fees increase again !!!

Now is $2100. Reasons is because of increasing operational cost. Its kind of stupid for this reason. For example SP...last academic year they painted the whole school and this year they paint again. Its basically wasting money as the paint from last academic year doesnt look really old yet they waste such money to paint and give us the cost? And the grass in front of the main library looks quite neat and nice yet recently they dug them all out and i guess they are going to replant them again after that. As for the air conditioners in classrooms, 1 class which can accommodate around 40+ people have around 4 air-conditioners !!! Basically 2 air conditioners will do the job and they install 4 air cons at my classroom blk. Waste so much money on unnecessary stuffs and they put the cost all on our school fees

And we still pay adult bus and MRT fares. Can't these extra $50 be used to subsidize our transportation fees?

Now you all know in spore everything is money hor... for you all still take pocket money from parents should really appreciate them more.
Ok topic sway but school fees increasing is nothing new. Since my era it has been slowly climbing up and no way of coming down

you should ask the student union in the poly to go for petitioning against the management, like what the NTU students did.
Seriously, i think there is a lack of "coperate governance". All these waste of money, then ask you all to pay more school fees to pay the additional useless things they buy or do.
Wait till they raised the school fees above the univ fees, then everyone dont go poly all go univ, then they go bankrupt better.

Petition against government no use de. NTU's case is internal, so can. This rise applies to all polytechnics, what say do you have? Besides, the government don't recognize petitions. -

No what. They never increase again. It was increased last year already. According to their annual report , The government grants has been going down from 220million to 180 million this year. And their replanting the grass and plants outside the library to beautify the area because the admin building is facing that area. If VIPs see that the area isnt beautiful, they wont feel good. -

For those who really cannot afford can go and ask for help either thru your GRC MP or seek some gahmen agency for financial assistance. According to our minister, a person in spore should not be denied an education juz becuz he cannot pay for the school fees. Likewise it is for those in medical like no money see polyclinic doctor etc etc....
But you must really be dirt poor to qualify for those schemes. spore gahmen checked very strictly and very prudent in forking out money to help the poor. If they check your parent CPF got money hahaha..... then maybe use those money to cover your education lor... it must be whole family all no money then can get gahmen money -

so if as u said its for the VIPs to see...so 1 year how many VIPs come go there to see and how long will they stay around the sch? even for students...everyday you just walk pass that place would you even bother to take a look? -

If they increase the fees, i feel that provided more and better facilities are provided. But all the school is doing is unnecessary, for example painting, changing the patch of grass area which is in front of the library..haiz
