How many of you guys think your too cool for techno?

Eminem rapped in one of his songs:
"Moby, you're too old, let go, nobody listens to techno..."
But it's still popular in Europe I think. Ministry of Sound is quite famous for their techno/trance/whatever dance tracks. But in S'pore I think the only people listening to techno are ah bengs in their souped up cars and trishaw riders.
For me, it sucks. Gives me a headache more than heavy metal would. -
obviously u guys cannot differentiate between techno , trance , house , hard(*) , tunnel trance , FENG TAO *eg Extacy music* , drum n base , tribal , ...etc etc..
he he.. i cant too ... he he.. n one thing.. damn hate those ppl that shuffle... damn take up dancing spaces.. n they look gay when not wearing thier shuffle pants or not dark or no strobe lights.

yeah, techno sucks... and also due to the higher probability of groups that listen to techno normally blast loudly into their ears, resulting in some of them losing their sense of hearing by the time they reach mid forties and above... also, there was this research that shows people who listen to more tame music, like classical sonds tend to be more civil and generally nicer, than people who listen to techno and rock type of music, normally tend to be easily agitated. -
Techno always give the impression of people who are bengs and gangsters..
Why?
They blast techno like fuck and think they are cool.
Heavy Metal is way 1337 above Techno.
And there is no way blasting of Techno is better than Heavy/Black Metal. -

i think most people think they know what techno is, but they really don't. Many people think that House is actually Techno, that's why they think that techno is crappy. Yes, i'm trying to say House is crappy and sucks. Techno on the other hand is like classical music, it needs to be appreciated and you have to put your soul into it. It is different from Pop music to say the least.
Usually if people ask me how to differentiate House from Techno, i'll tell them that Techno has no vocals, while House have. Techno music is also much longer, sometimes can be an hour or two. House, on the other hand, is just a few minutes.
anyway, i love progressive techno and sometimes HI-NRG. -

Now if your talking about Trance then i'm a fan of it. MoS plays a great variety of Trance and its a wonderful feeling whn you blast a couple Trance hits on a cool windy night and theres no other cars on the road except for you.
