Which do you support? Ipod or Creative?

I own an ipod and I think it's user friendly and the design is just simple & cool. Haven't tried a Creative but for a start, I'm not attracted to it's look. So what do you guys own?

I own a creative zen 20Gb. I think the sound quality is good. My brother and sister own a zen neeon and zen micro respectively. We are all creative customers although you may call us cheap cuz creative mp3 players are cheaper than ipod

iPod. Creative imo cannot make it, they are trying to copy every blardy device and ideas in the market and nothing original. The only thing that came up was Prodikey (or something) and it sucks.

You have your view but be reminded tat creative are the Master in music as their SoundBlaster last time shook the whole world. In terms of sound quality, they still rule as always. They lose out to ipod in the design cuz bulky and nerdy but for quality of sound they are better and they are cheaper in general. -
definately Ipod, although I havent bought one. Speaking of creative... i bought quite a number of products of theirs, infact the keyboard and mouse I'm using now are also from Creative...... the mouse got a bit of problem the second day after purchase... me and my bro bought the same mp3player from creative too... some 128MB mp3player.. and i realise it has really "limited" lifespan... after a year.. it became a bit haywire.. and ever since months ago.. it totally stopped working!!!! Now i don't even know where to repair it.. coz it'll be a waste to throw it away... i emailed creative to enquire about it's repairs.. seriously i don't mind paying to get it repaired.. but i get no reply from them...
No more creative for me....
If u ask me to choose now... between Ipod or Zentouch or wadever stuffs from Creative, i'll definately choose Ipod..
p.s. I happened to flip over my faulty mouse...and realised it's MADE IN CHINA. OMG... -

i emailed creative to enquire about it's repairs.
You live in spore? If email cannot work then use phone and call lah. Tat is what I did also. Their customer service centre at jurong east very big

But, you won't find a soundblaster card in their mp3 player.
Wat I mean is they are the world leaders in sound technology R & D and last time I heard they even set the standard for some sound API so that it will be standardised. Sound wise they are tops -

They have a very complicated after purchase support scheme... but my warranty is OVER... it ain't that hard to reply an email afterall.... if they have no intentions to reply mails, i wonder why they put it up in their web in the firsrt place. But well, i'll call them up when I have the time....

I'm not saying Ipod's all perfect... answering to the thread topic, i'm just making my preference since I have a couple of not too good experiences with Creative. -

Yes to their jurong east centre second day I made a purchase. I plug in earphones one side got sound one side dun have. Go there then I find out why! I didn't fully insert in the plug. I see the officer demo for me see then I know! It was so embarrassing.
Btw the officer young young very sweet looking hahahhaa...... -

quality-wise now is ok oni. ipod is better, but not the best. i rather buy other brands than creative. -

Firstly, its iPod
Secondly, regarding sound quality of the audio in iPods, Apple is catching up. One test in CHIP Magazine showed that the sound quality in iPod Shuffle is better then the Creative Zen series.
Thirdly, Creative is not creative at all. They had their own podcasts as well and named it Zencast. They said its to tell people that podcast not only applies to iPods alone. Well I only know that his Zencasts will only increase the popularity of podcasts. Both are the same thing, why is there the need to be given different names?
In addition, I feel that the cost of iPod is reasonable. Sure it may look more expensive compared to Creative but my friends who owned Creative MP3 players had plenty of problems. I'll go for durability here. Not to mention the beautiful screen iPod has and the sharpness of the videos are stunning.
Finally, the issue about how much Apple earns from iPod nano. Apple bought the flash disks for iPod nano in bulk, so naturally Apple will be able to buy them at a cheaper price. This may appear unfair to other MP3 manufacturers since Apple is a huge company who can easily buy flash disks in the millions. It seems that Apple bought the flash disks at 50% the original price.

I'd support Creative, if it weren't for the bloody MuVo^2 1.5GB player.
me, my sister, as well as 3 of my classmates had the same model, and after between 6 - 12 months, all of us had a problem with the earjack. some connection in there becomes lose and after that your songs become muffled, and strangly you can't hear lyrics, only the background music.
theres a temporarly way to fix it, which is by placing the earphone plug at a certain angle and pressing it down very hard to the earjack. didn't even need to ask my friends to know that their's were spoilt too. one of them used scotch tape to secure it, and the other just used the earphone wires to secure it by tying it around the mp3.
anyway, I went down to creative to replace mine. but a few months later my sis had a problem with hers a few months after i replaced mine. they said they didn't have that model anymore so they couldn't replace or fix it, and that she had to pay to upgrade hers to a 5gb muvo^2.
and now about a year since i replaced mine, its spoilt again. exact same problem. i took pretty good care of it and never dropped it. my sis's one is still fine, but who knows when it'll conk out again? mine got spoilt twice within 18 months. -
obviously creative's products have rather short livespans..
i bought my mp3player in dec2003.. prolly they'd say they can't do anything about it since it's such an old model...i can write off this thingy and throw into the bin liao...
will call up to double cfm though... -
