The originator says if we could demand that Van Ngyuen be spared the noose despite being truly guilty of his crimes, we should not hang Took Leng How. -

If CSJ really go into power, it will be the end of Singapore. How can we rely on someone that bring down his own country law just for the sake that he saw it a good chance to hit the goverment below the belt when he got so many years to petition about removing of the death penalty. -
Put him 3 days 3 nights at OCH. Sure to be welcomed there.

Not expecting him to be spare from punishment but at least stay alive. Who wanna see their own son sentence to death ?

Singapore doesn't recognize petitions. Besides, these signatures can be easily generated with a script, which decreases its reliability. -

opp party sure can make use of the foreigner's plight to cook things up and most earn some attentiona and respect from foreigners and unhappy locals...took GY chuan fight for what? this GY chuan is famous for "eating inside crawl outside" and if he shouuld ever come into power...sure sell sg to other countries!
we are sg we know how to punish our own dogs when it makes mistakes.

I don't believe there are actually people out there that would want Took to be pardoned. It's because of scumbags like Took that the death sentence should exist. He's a cold-blooded murderer who took away someone's life for no reasons other than the fact that he can take away someone's life. Pity the parents and son? Did he think about Huang Na's parents when he killed her?
Screw plead of insanity. Hanging him is too good a punishment for him already, he should have died the death Huang Na suffered. -

Coz likewise too much doubts involve and hasn't been solve to sentence death at least prove and solve all doubts. For Huang Na's parents if they love her why leave a young gal in sg alone.. wtf.. is this ?
After such things happen then started to sob and drama too late...

u have to look at this in a different angle...yes can blame the parents for not looking after the child....and we know thre are dangers out there...but just coz a gal is alone, naive, defenceless, does not mean that any one can take advantage of the situation...u can say the parents neglegence and may think they have somethhing to do wif the murder...or may "made" "create" a scenerio so that the gal could be harmed and her death making a wave of anger amongst the common folks and they can walk away with whatever gains from HN's death...but do we have a proof on that? May be we should include neglegence on HN parents part but is there a pwoerful lawyer with took's to point this out and mayb bring HN's parents to justices? What i ahve written here is already out of the records and even if took paid a good lawyer it would have been to lessen his own punishment or better can tok the court out of him not being guilty of murder!

when the righteous knights arrived, they have to slaughter the wolves and overthrow the queen to preserve justice. but without proof of what is going on in the heart of the queen, it is very difficult to convict her while it is easier to punish the wolves since from their actions they are already worng. If the wolves happened to be full and not lusting for man flesh that day, nothing would have happened and the queen may have to come up with another plan -

I agree with scrapping Capital Punishment. Lets scrap it after Ah How's case.
Found guilty of murdering and raping a kid is stepping way out of line. As Capital Punishment still hold to date, I dun see how a crime of such gravity should be spared the death penalty as sentenced. -
to me.. the death gal cannot be brought back alive. Why make another innocent child fatherless. And yet again, there are too much doubts like why Took doesn't defence himself and resign to fate, when there are still good chances to do so. Why did the Huang Na's parent leave her for good alone in SG ? And to cried for etc.. when she gone missing and die.. Of coz he cn't escape from punishment but at least away from death penalty..
You will not imagine how the family will be "breakup" when death penalty is imposed. Leaving the wife and son to be alone, and the old parents without a son.
Anyway, i will plead for him. But utimately the penalty sentence will base on judges and govt.. then... -
