For extreme cases or low-end laptops, go for Dell
Fujitsu too ex. iBook not worth it now since Apple is transiting from PowerPC to Intel and Toshiba not worth it as well -

Depend for what u want.
IBM is the only one that uses iron hinge for the laptop.
This is an important feature that all the laptop makers seem to ignore.
With the constant opening and closing of the laptop, the hinge is the part that sustained the most wear.
The casing for the IBM is also aluminium.
Only disadvantage is the specification for IBM laptop is not that great. -
Budget and mobility go for Acer, Benq and Dell.
The others are pretty expensive. For Acer, take note. If you choose a pretty high end laptop, it's going to be as expensive as the rest. -
