About this begging issue..
shld change CIP to SBP (Street Begging Programme)
Thing is, too many charity are slaughtering each other for begging slots.
i year has 52 weeks plus school holidays' wednesday. so every saturday u see beggars roaming down Orchard Road and bus terminals aimlessly..
Then meet an say angmoh, put $10.. those students SO happy.. i dont know why they are happy, since the $$ is NOT going to their pockets, and no prizes for the one who beg the most!
So, for now, bear with it. if you are so unhappy, next time u need to beg, just turn up, get $5 worth of change, throw it all in, brong home some stickers,and wait till the reporting time.. after all, they want $$

well, work for southwest cdc best lah! i under them, they also do provide cip hours and the good thing is i can order the mentor around

If the hours are only going to be given if a targetted amount is collected, it's no longer CIP.

Erm, was it school supported? Like the a few clses went to do it. SOunds like it wasn't. Then ask ur CIP teacher or form teacher to ask the organisation. SInce its CCA, ur CCA in-charge teacher would have been informed of that activity. Then in this case, ur hours are most likely recorded, ask ur teacher for it. No organisation will do smt for free de. Ask ur teacher to complain to them or watever. ...

1) Never answer the question!
2) Push the blame to school!
3) Implying students not doing enough.
In the letter they say for themselves, the student numbers during their charity is SO big.
People in singapore is only that much and only that much are willing to donate. how much are they expecting from each tin can/pouch?
Are they looking for money in the regions of "peanuts"? -
