JAE advice please!

I heard that we'll receive a JAE form after we result the 'O' Levels result.. and given 5 days to complete the form, filling in 12 choices of courses..
I think many ppl like myself, need advice on ranking the different choices.. i've some courses in mind about what im gonna choose liao.. but not 12 courses!! that's alot.. it's like very difficult to get to the course i want leh.. 12 courses.. i starting to worry liao..
Experienced ppl, ur advice is greatly appreciated!

Put the courses you have interest in on the top. Well even though the brochures for all the course cut off point is 20 well is not really 20.The cut off point for the course u applied for depend on the number of applicants and the results of the applicants which may result in even lower cut off point like mayb 14 points for those hotcake courses like the gaming course.

and another word of advice for those going to jc... arts/science is more important than getting into the college... u get into ur dream college as an arts student when u're not strong in it is not going to benefit u... tat's wat i learnt from my frens in first 3 months... so dun put ur choice as:
1. JC1 Science
2. JC1 Arts
3. JC2 Science
4. JC2 Arts
.....
don't get killed and regret. lols. -

Somebody in my school got screwed up in last year's JAE. Only put 1 choice (Hwa Chong, i think)... turns out... missed the cut-off by 1-2 points... Yeah you'll go YJ because they always have not enough students or something.

put all ah. even if u 6-pointer want go rjc.. must also put pjc, yjc at the last few also.

and 12 courses may be abit overkill la... fill in 8 or so...
Speaking of which... i havn't even finalised my few choices... only have Masscomm and Biomed in mind... -

JAE will start one day after O Levels results are released. However, you can log in to check your points.
There's no need to fill up all 12 choices. However, if you want a greater chance of entering a poly or JC that you want, better fill up all. By limiting yourself, you might be disappointed if things don't go your way.
If you have problems filling the 12 choices, one easy way out is to select a particular field, say IT. Then choose all the IT related courses from alll polys and fill them in. How you rank them is up to you. Or if you want science courses from no particular JC, just fill up this way also. One advantage is that you will not be disappointed. The disadvantage is that you are just limiting yourself to a certain field only.
If the course you want has high COP, one way to overcome it is to study something related. For example, biomedical sciences is notorious for the high COP. However, biomedical engineering has lower COP. Just put biomedical engineering as your choice. -
try nt to put 1 choice onli ah.. my fren gt 12 points put first choice TJ science (only) and got posted to SRJC sci..

Hi!
If you have no other better choices to fill out your last few slot, put at least 1 "dumping ground" course. Those with COP 26+.
In fact, i only have 1 poly course, offered by 4polys in mind last year. However, do be realistic, do some extensive research first, and infer from previous year's COP as well.
If your L1R4 is 13, and you're interested in Biomed Sci, you can omit SP.
Save your slot to fight for NP,TP's Biomed Sci.
In the event that there is someone competing with you for the same course and with the same L1R4 aggregate as well, the system will admit the one who ranked the course higher.
Don't waste your slot.
And for the last few slot, like the 11th or 12th, put one course that has COP of 26+
Just to be safe, however, do find out the course structure and everything before putting them as "insurance". Because sometimes shit really happens, and you wouldn't want your insurance to be your nightmare for 3years. -
