  Try appeal again. A few of my friends oso got this. One of them even got her 12th choice.

  The appeal exercise for JAE applicants will be held on 6 - 7 March from 9am - 6pm at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Blk 1, Atrium. Appellants must be eligible for the course that they would like to appeal for.
  
  JAE Appeals Exercise
  This Appeals Exercise is for applicants who had applied under the JAE and now wish to appeal for a change in course or were not successful in gaining a place in an institution (not posted to any course).
  Date: 06 March - 07 March (Monday and Tuesday)
  Venue: Concourse (T1A)
  Time: 8.30 am to 4.30pm
  
  JAE applicants who wish to make an appeal should go to the institution that they are appealing to, to submit their Appeal Form.
  
  The outcome of the appeal will available at the end of March 2006.

  i dun understand how their system works oso.. my friend managed to get into Hospitality and Tourism in TP by putting it in his 2nd choice in the JAE application.
  He din apply for JPSAE oso.. while my another friend who put that in her first choice and went for interview din manage to get in.. both of their L1B4 are the same

  Probably The courses require some subjects you specialised in..
  Like maybe Life Sciences they look into your science subjects after merit..
  In you cases, unless both of your friend has totally the same grades for all subjects..
  
  then probably they will look into other things like CCA, oher talents..
