Weird looking fish-any zoologists here?

  I found this fish at one of the local aquariums.
  
  Help identify this fish and provide some info.

  looks like a cross between a cuttlefish, fish, and an alligator..

  I guess it is kind of a catfish species.. if u look closely, it seems to have long barbels..

  The fish is big man,at least 1m. And it eats goldfish,no jokes.
  
  In the huge tank in the aquarium shop,there is this freakish fish at one end and many goldfish at the other end.The goldfish dont dare to swim to the other end.

  I'm close to 2m, I eat pretty much about any fish that my mum cooks and sets on the table for dinner, no jokes, how come no one talks about me?

  I can't really differentiate these 2, but this fish is either Pseudoplatystoma Tigrinum or Pseudoplatystoma Fasciatum, both are also known as Tiger Shovelnose Catfish. Their juvenile can be easily find at local aquariums but as for adult... maybe that's the only shop, lolx

  As someone mentioned it, it is a Tiger Shovelnose catfish. I used to keep 2 at home in my fish tanks..

  And yup, those goldfishes are live feeders meant for its consumption...they have a very very large mouth when open, and an even larger stomach to swallow/store/digest their prey.

  I think Tigrinums have narrower black stripes on their bodies, compared to the Fasciatums.. the one that marco saw in the shop looks more like a tigrinum to me.

  teach fishes.. for wad? its useless to the govt. so wun teach one.. dey will only teach u things u need to know so tt nx time u can earn money n pay them taxes..

  the pirarucu or arapaima can be seen at the singapore zoo.. but for a proper look at it, go to KLCC's aquarium... they have a couple of the fellas in clear water...
  
  and for a very close-up look, you can take the coach into malaysia.. on the way, in the Yong Ping rest stop, they have a few in their moat thing to
