Then i report to ebay of course, too many people bid how to email them to stop bidding? but ebay slow to reply. U know something? the ebay is linked to my bank account and paypal account. so i quickly called up bank to cancel my credit card immediately to stop any transactions. the hacker trying to withdraw all MY MONEY asap..wah..
but i already stop the creditcard, now i'm safe.
So shall i report to the police?

- EBay has already suspended my account.
- I have already removed all the Spywares, etc..
Disinfect your computer. The most important is to check for trojans and viruses as they are potential ways to control the computer and backdoors can be installed this way. Get a few anti-spywares and scan your computer after doing the virus scan. If there are keyloggers, remove them. Remember to edit the registry as well to completely remove the keyloggers. Keep a log of all these scans if you intend to report to the police. These logs can be useful.
After investigation is complete, get a firewall, antivirus and anti-spywares installed. If you are using wireless, secure your network. -
I also kena. My credit card company called me up to advise that they have reasons to believe my card may have been compromised. So, they cross-check with me all the charges on the statement which, heng ah, all legitimate. Nothing fraudulent. So, they cancel my card and re-issue new ones. End of story.

If you suffered no lost, just reporting to Ebay would be sufficient. The police cannot do much things unless you wants to take on a civil suit against the hacker. But usually the hacker is not in Singapore and thus there's not much of a way to catch them. Ebay will do the necessary stuffs to ensure that you're not losing out.

Pm me if you need something to wipe ur hdd clean completely... and only 0.01 % chance of data recovery... thats if u have stuff u dont want ppl to see... it wirtes blank data on the drives many many times over... thus ur previous data written below is also gone

Go report to police. Give them some work to do. If not, we pay tax for what?

May take very long to compensate, need internal investigations by police once a police report is filed.

data can be retrieved direct from your harddisk regardless of what OS u are using.. to prevent data from being recovered, use a write program to write the harddisk fully and format it.. repeat the cycle many times and there goes everything... of cos if u suay u kanna the 0.01% of being recovered.. -
If you want the hdd nuke boot disc. its there http://dban.sourceforge.net/ Windows does not have this function in its boot disc. but MAC osx has... i have seen this in the newest OSX 10.4 tiger... it works really well... i tried recovery and nothing showed up

take ur hdd to the stove or have some fun with kerosene and a lighter... buring technology that failed u is quite fun to watch... just dont get the SCDF too excited
