so should people join this bandwagon and take up courses on casino management? so we can open our own gambling dens?

Seems super interesting to me. But not sure whether there is future in it or not. there is only two IR in singapore. Maybe the garment build more IRs?

who is offering the degree ah?
I really want to like be the first few involved in the IR's opening.
can be exempted from that $100 admission fee. -
There are some such degrees already, overseas.
But not limited to casinos only. It's more comprehensive called......dunno what.
It's meant for the whole spectrum of resort management/ amusement park management/ etc, so this should include casinos also.
But your question means whether this kinda degree should be available in Singapore? If that's what you meant, then what do you think?
I think Singapore doesnt have enough demand for it.

10000 jobs directly related will be created, 15000 jobs are jobs relevant to the IRs, thats 35,000 jobs... dun think they gonna employ 35000 foreigners rite?

By the way how big will the 2 IRs be? I mean the physical size. Im really curious how they can employ supposedly 10k direct employees. I saw the plot of land not so big.
If you take a degree, that means at least you want to aim for management level. Isnt that right? You dont need a degree to be the waiter or the card dealer. So this 10k employee number is a very bloated number for you. What's the number of the management will be? Maybe not too many, isnt it?
But if want to try out.....since you take the degree overseas, why not just work overseas also? More opportunities. After graduation dont come back to Singapore. One way. Since already overseas then just continue there. -

certainly getting a degree in Casino Mgmt exclusively would be TOO specialize, like a panda that could only eat bamboo.
but getting a degree in Tourism & Hospitality Mgmt, with majors in Casino Mgmt would be a more practical plan rite? -
Is it with a major, the other unrelated sector will still hire you? Like not a casino, like a restaurant for example. If yes then I guess it's a bit better. But then you also will lose a bit to the restaurant specialist (the F&B major), and such.

Already you look at the recent record high 100K plus jobs created last year, according to reports about half went to locals and the other half to foreigners. -

After you graduate with the degree in Casino Management, do you think you will automatically qualify to become middle or senior management right away?
You will have zero working experience after your graduation and when the IR opens, you will be starting (if you manage to get a job in there) as a fresh grad at the lowest junior position available. Only when you have worked 5 to 10 years will you be promoted higher.
So who will be your supervisor, your department head, your CEO / President / CFO?
They will all be foreigners from whichever company wins the casino bid.
