Cop sends SMS while driving
I WAS driving along the ECP towards the airport on Feb 24 at about 9.30am. The road was clear and I was on my way to the Asian Aerospace show.
I was cruising when I noticed a new Subaru WRX traffic police car coming from behind. Being 'kiasu' like most Singaporeans, I changed lanes to get out of the traffic police's way.
The car passed me and I peeked at it to check it out. To my amazement, the policeman driving the car QX 5319 had his mobile phone in hand and he appeared to be sending an SMS message.
Imagine my disbelief and anger. How can the traffic police have double standards? I'm sure that the same laws apply to the traffic police as well, right?

why cannot? u mean the traffic police are driving trailers too when they catch people smsing while driving?Originally posted by sinicker:what was this guy driving? a trailer? how come can see what the other driver is doing one?
Originally posted by ditzy:The driver also in the wrong. When driving he should keep his eyes on the road, not on another driver in another car, can even tell what the other driver was doing somemore. Luckily he never say he knew what the contents of the SMS was.![]()
