Defer for ns,goin poly..

Anyone can access the defer option at the MIW webby?
I jus logged in but cant find the defer option,straight away directed to the pre-enlistment documents page. -
if u want to defer better go down to cmpb to settle it...

yesterday i jus recieved my posting to republic poly...maybe the defer thing havent activate??? -
if u're not 18 yet, they will not call u up. the school will send the nominal roll to cmpb. this applies to govt institutions like JCs and polytechnics. this applies even if u've been medically classified.
if u're nearing 18, go to cmpb and enquire with the counter. they will confirm with u ur status.
u can defer for any courses up to diploma or 'A' level (or its equivalent) in recognised local institutions like polys and JCs, and once your place is confirmed, the deferment is automatic. if for some reason they screw up and wan to call u up, go to CMPB, explain and show them a proof that u're a student of RP (get it from ur AA office), they will defer u straight away.
private schools generally are a no-go, u need to check with cmpb whether it's recognised. -
you can either call CMPB or go down there personally. dun be lazy.

When you're 16 and the 1/2, you're automatically liable for NS. In fact, you can enlist at 16, but they need your parent's approval.

yeah, but if u dun study after sec sch, they will ask u to pack ur bags as u near 18.

to add on, you are only entitled to only one deferment for repeat of Year 2 studies for 'A' Levels, and only if you have got a partial A or flunk GP that kind. and you must be admitted back to your former JC. your JC will send in your nominal roll to CMPB.

ppl who go to ite then to poly are mostly 19 also

cos CMPB noe he's still in sec sch so they wun call him up. they won't call u up now as long as u continue stuyding until Poly/ITE/JC graduate.
if u didn't get into any of the institutes, u shld be joining dec intake. -
