you should see some of the things some supposed "christian" do thinking no matter what,they will still go to heaven since jesus is all forgiving if they aknowledge him.

one time i got so annoyed by hardcore christian fanatics i almost decided to block and delete all my christian contacts on MSN, including my best friends...
it all started when a christian guy bothered me everyday and attempted to convert me to his religion. when i refused and stated that i was an atheist, he recruited more of his hardcore fanatic christian mates to pester me. day after day the assault continued until i got so fed up i blasted the fools with my atheist crap!
luckily i controlled myself and didnt delete anyone

I live everyday by the principle that I have to live with what I have done in the past, and religion or no religion, some things are so deeply ingrained in my upbringing as morally wrong that I would not feel good about doing it.
Besides, seeing that most of the problems we have today are caused by religion or religious fervour in one way or another, I don't see how religion's going to solve all my problems or answer any questions I might have about the meaning of life.
However, there's an interesting phemonemon that I observe these days... people who are agnostic seem to be proclaiming their lack of a religion with a sense of pride, of belonging to an elite group... seems like atheism has become a religion of sorts. -

Ted Turner once said Christians are for losers. He divorce his wife because she became Christian. Many years ago when I was in a board meeting, the chairman and founder of a listed company said, "Do you know why I am an atheist? because I am not a follower...".
BTW, these 2 guys donate lots of money to charities. -

atheists, agonistic or free thinker, they live by what is educated in school namely science, moral education etc.
They also follow the standard set by the society.
But that doesn't mean that no religion will be less good than those with beliefs. -
Religions is to drain off your money and waste your precious time

If you die, then what...?
So.
Is it scary for you to die?
Have you thought about your life? And any thought about after your death?
Do you believe you have soul?
Or you believe 'you' will just disappear. There is no more 'you'.
Gone. Evaporate. Totally doesn't exist anymore.
Isn't that a bit scary?
Have you accepted this and come at peace with yourself with this concept?
How do you come to terms with this particular point? -

Everybody would like to believe that there's something more to life than what is transcient, and I hope there is too. But in holding on to that hope, should I subscribe to archaic indoctrination that preys on people's emotions and fears by offering eternal life and salvation? -
I have met people who are so obsessed with religion that they cant judge properly. These people follow blindly, they used sentences like "praise the Lord" or "thanks GOD", sometimes I do wonder whether they really meant it or just want to show other people how devouted they are. No point saying these sentences all the time and yet sin at the same time. I have got a friend who is a member of a certain church who donated 3/4 of his salary and the fact is he just starting working.
