A warning to all students going for attachment in future.
If you come across a MNC company developing CAD softwares, its better not to choose it. But it still depends on yourself.
It may sound very nice and attractive to you but a heavy price had to be paid out. You will be required to stay “free” OT till late hours at least after 8pm. To them, they think that it’s your duty to stay back. Do you think this kind of “hardworking” job meaningful to you? I thought most of us want to gain working experiences and learned something new from IA? What is the use of paying a semester school fees for nothing?
Everyone will hope to receive a good grade and will put their best effort to achieve it. This is an ultimate goal for all students. Like any other attachment companies, please do not hope for any high expectation for your grades. No matter how your supervisors praise you and how hardworking you are, do not believe them totally especially from mechanical software team. Only half of your commitment and effort are recognized by them. After all, to them, you are just an intern which is equivalent to a low pay part-time worker.
Although this is a interviewing company, do not expect an high allowance! It is considered one of the lowest paid out by an interviewing companies. Of cause comparing to non-interviewing companies, you are at advantage. But most importantly, do you want to throw all your hard work and effort into the drain? What for commits so much when you know you will not able to get gd grades? Why do you work OT for free when supervisors will not recognize your hard work?
Make the smart move and hopefully enjoy your attachment. Make your $3K++ school fees meaningful. -

my tax company..actually 5 day week next week calling me back for 6 days liao..
everyday also leave at 7 when suppose to leave at 6..knn. -
how much are they paying you? i know poly attachment about $300 to $450....highest i heard so far is about $700+

my poly brother, at BOSCH, gets Ot and even weekend double pay.. thats very fair and win-win.
i, at biopolis, 9.5 hours, low pay, no OT etc.. so i wont stay OT for too long!!!!! -

Knn, these days uni kids are damn pampered.
They think this fucked up situation is the exception rather than the norm.
If they cannot take this kind of crap as interns, they will cry when they really start working. -

in the end, the students macham office boys, kopisohs, data entry clerks......cannot fully map the knowledges and skills learnt in sch to their work.......
end up with a half-farked experience and testimonial.......
