is having BBQ wif portable bbq pit at public neighbourhood area allowed?

depands la i guess,under the block should be ok...but make sure the smokes dont go up the the floor above u...later kana complaint

if there is no designated BBQ pit there, then i think it is NOT allowed.
As got smoke, noise, potential fire, etc. Also people may complain. -
i saw some families BBQ at their HDB flat corridors with those portable BBQ pits

But at the same time never see ppl doing it.
I guess if you don't pose hazard to anyone or the area and keep the place clean after should be ok.

I remember bbq with the portable bbq pit on top of the multi storey car park in one army camp...Oh my, it was nice and the enviroment was damn romantic...too bad I having bbq with all guys....

the concerns will be.......fire hazard, vandalism, destroy flora near the area.........

wats the budget?
the usual stuff includes chicken wings, hotdogs, bacon, prawns, taiwan sausage, sweet potato, corn....
got budget can have crabs, tiger prawns, stingray, beef, venison, ribs....
marinate meat with black pepper or honey or wu xiang powder or teriyaki sauce or tomyam paste
beef rber to put tenderizer
prawns can put in foil just sprinkle a bit of salt
sotong put in foil, squeeze some lime, put lotsa belachan -
Black Pepper with Teriyaki Sauce is great.

last time my hse 1 lvl below. they BBQ and Satay untill all the lvl above smokey. then my neighour beside thought on fire so he call fire department and mata

if you lives in the west, can always go to west coast to bbq. there are a few bbq pit just beside west coast highway.
free flavouring by the passing trucks. -

Actually I BBQ at my corridor. But mine is corner unit and my neighbour neither have corridor windows nor open their main-door. So I can BBQ all I want, but of course, I make sure I don't create so much smoke.Originally posted by darknessfall:where do you have plans to bbq?

Wow...fireice is master at marinating and bbqing food.
Actually, last time i remember i also attended a bbq below hdb block with my friend on new year's eve.
Yup...the most important thing to note is your hands will be oilly, so it pays if you have a pail of water and some soap for your friends to wash hands and the water you can also use to doze the fire when you finish the bbq. Then all the rubbish you can dump in the proper dumping place, not inside a rubbish basket/bin (those small ones) cuz will overflow.
Anyway, like in the army, just do but dont get caught loh... like when you bbqing half way then police come and say you cannot bbq there, then you have to keep and pack up...then very sao shing for your friends and you right?
Yup, remember to bring cards and maybe a small radio...will be good...add in the atmosphere.
