Look at it. Most students are now so busy with their work. Why in the hell would they the time the ready thick volumes of ROTK. Peharps the 4 great classics should be part of O's chinese ... many would groan about it. Ask around and most students would give u the puzzled look of "what? there are 4 great chinese classics books ??"
And i honest admit that i did not read ROTK b4, my info was collect via various sources, at the very least, i got a full outline of the whole story. -

Truth be told, ROTK history is not significant in the whole 5000 years of chinese history. And I dunno what is the big hoohah over the storyline. It is pretty mild and boring actually.
I take Spring Autumn/Warring States history anytime. There are more blood, sweat and tears. There are more "rags to riches" stories (in political context) that are definitely more inspiring.
And while the warriors in ROTK may be cool looking, you get that impression from the game only. I think Water Margin warriors are more cool, seriously how many people in ROTK use axe (Li Kuei) and rod (Huyan Zhuo) to fight?
While Zhao Yun may be cool, he can't beat Di Qing of the Song Dynasty in terms of outfit. Do you know Di Qing goes to battle in a mask? -
