no. like i said, i can name u 3 off the top of my head. They are:Originally posted by BadzMaro:The only religion that does not discriminate against the rest are passive religions like BUdhism. Muslim n Christianity are both aggressive religions. The wars fought down... but if u read both the Bible n the Quran.. the Irony is that they are all descendents from brothers. Split apart by thier own religion resulting in today. Both have been aggressors n played the part of untold misery to the human race. Man will always be weak till the end of time.. only the day when judgement day comes.. will we know the true answer.

Pope Leo X. 'nuff said.Originally posted by LazerLordz:that's the sad part.
too much power play in the hands of the preachers have led to this, since centuries ago. It's shameful to tell a Jew or a Muslim that I'm Christian when they start talking about the rape of Jerusalem in the 12th Century.![]()
Pope Alexander Borgia..another greedy shark.Originally posted by HENG@:Pope Leo X. 'nuff said.
u're mistaken. i think u're thinking about taoism or chinese folk beliefs.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:But in the past Buddhism isn't as peaceful as we see. They are quite aggressive. It's only after a few wars that they did learn something. Wonder when will the Christians learn after so many wars they have waged.
Coz its written in thier bible to preach n spread the word of God. Like Quran.. to go out.. n also preach n spread the word of Allah. But there are differences between the two religion although big similiarities.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:But in the past Buddhism isn't as peaceful as we see. They are quite aggressive. n are u in any of these passive religion ? anyways i meant that 1 of the religions.. not 1 religion only. he heOriginally posted by HENG@:no. like i said, i can name u 3 off the top of my head. They are:
Buddhism
Satanism
Paganism
They all preach tolerance, peace and never to cast the 1st stone, or ideas along that line.
look at the new one. Whats his name? Benedict? Turning hardline again. its not just inter-religious dialogue. There are discrimination which are non-religion based. How can anyone condone this sort of attitude?Originally posted by LazerLordz:Pope Alexander Borgia..another greedy shark.
still, Catholics esp the traditional ones, are at the forefront of inter-religious dialogue today..unlike the rest..
I don't think it's Taoism. Not quite sure for Taoism. It's not folk beliefs either.Originally posted by HENG@:u're mistaken. i think u're thinking about taoism or chinese folk beliefs.
buddhism has generally never been anything but peaceful. Name me a specific war where religion was the reason a war has been waged in the name of buddhism.
Sometimes, when I read the news, I feel that if he never do anything, things would be better. Once he steps in, it seems as if things are worse.Originally posted by HENG@:look at the new one. no. my personal beliefs are a unique fuision of all 3. More of buddhism and satanism, and a little bit of paganism. This way the best qualities of all 3 are combined.Originally posted by BadzMaro:n are u in any of these passive religion ?

i can find no reference of it whatsoever on the net. the only China-Indian war was a border dispute in 1962.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I don't think it's Taoism. Not quite sure for Taoism. It's not folk beliefs either.
Can't remember it a specific war, but I read this in a book about Buddhism. The war isn't on a great scale, it's between India and China. Due to the difference the way Chinese and Indian people interprete it.
Not quite sure though. The author didn't say much about the wars.Originally posted by HENG@:i can find no reference of it whatsoever on the net. the only China-Indian war was a border dispute in 1962.
would be good if u could tell me a bit more, but i think it wasn't really a war over buddhism, but a war due to differences in cultural roots, with religion being used as a catalyst. Anyways, just one war which can be attributed to buddhism still pales in comparism to the many hundreds spawned off by xtianity.
Actually the most fearsome and famous Buddhist warrior im aware of, is King Asoka. And he was a hindu during the blood thirsty era of his reign. He had a sudden epiphany and converted to Buddhism, and from then on his reign was peaceful and his kingdom flourished.
hmm...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Not quite sure though. The author didn't say much about the wars.
Did I ever mention anything like that? I just gave you the facts and said it is up to you... don't put words in my mouth, that is no polite.Originally posted by HENG@:Oh well I'm only sorry that u need to say things like "u're going to hell" to try to convince me. Your thing about seeing Christians in hell... hmm you may well be right. The Lord did say he would separate the goats from the sheep and when He spoke about this, He was speaking about Christians and not unbelievers.
Why would I want you burned at the stake, what does that accomplish for me? No I do not think that burning at the stake is an effective persuasive tool, it just goes to show how barbaric the westerners were at that time. Or really, it speaks to the human condition as a whole. Given a choice all or most of us are at some point carnal and barbaric. Society as we know it today is still barbaric, abit veiled but it is still there. For all the plesantries and the supposed etiquette, the human nature is still a me and I centered one.
I believe in God, and you don't. I never said you are going to hell, you implied that because of what you know about what other christians have said. So I say again, you were wrong to do that and it was not nice of you. You can choose what you want to believe, I cannot and will not judge you. Take care.
