Was actually thinking about tie da/tui na.. but i do not know if it will work or not.. and i do not know where i can find a good shi fu to work on mom's problem..
Any recommendations anyone? Would be greatly appreciated.
If warmth doesn't help the pain, she will need to see a doctor. Since you prefer a Chinese one, tui na would be good if she has just injured the muscles. The doctor would know whether she has hurt her muscles or not by asking a series of questions and some simple checkup. Otherwise, she has to go accupunture. I went for both when I had a sprain. It's effective, maybe because I'm young. For tui na, initially it will be painful, after that the next few days will be very relaxing. If it doesn't work, see a western doctor.
