We are the parasites on this planet, the bacteria, the viruses, the cancer, the doom for this planet. We are destroying it, making it sick, killing it and also each other.Originally posted by spartan6:Humans start 2 play gods n mess up e balance set by Mother Nature n we think we r superior cant we see we r leading ourselves 2 destrutions

I heard somewhere that we are the disease of this planet and that the planet will start to protect itself and kill us. Maybe it was a script for some sci fi movie.Originally posted by SexyChin:Seems very familiar.
We are using and misusing our host, same as the parasites do. We are harming our planet and also ourselves.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:![]()

Its a cycle. You think by thinking it through and come out with this theory, we will one day be able to unveil alien? Don't forget it is our own "egotistical assumption that we are the species at the top of the heap" that comes up with this theory. So where does it lead us to? If time travelling is possible, ever wonder where are all the future tourists? Should not we be hearing from them since ages ago? Don't think so much lah. Like you say, we all think we all very clever that we might not know there are cleverer things out there. SO don't be so clever and come out with all this theories.
theres an article, very recently, that stated that scientists have fused brain cells onto silicon chips to create a bio-computer in the human brain. that is the first time we have been able to do that. if this continues, one day about 30% of our human bodies would have machinized. by then we would no longer be purely biological or fully homo sapiens...Originally posted by polarsnake:No!No!No! natural evolution is happening to us at an extremely slow pace. but what we are doing to ourselves is evolving artifically, in a physical manner, and psychologically. we already have hundreds of thousands of people on our planet now who are part human, part machine. they have artificial organs, limbs, faces, even life support machines fused into their bodies. one day as technology continues to advance, people (especially the wealthy) will choose to have cybernetic implants in their bodies to enhance their mind-processing power, vision, auditory skills and speech. by the year 2700 AD, do u think there is still at least even 50% of biological components left in our human bodies? Just think, in the last 100 years, we invented the automobile, airplane, spacecraft, radio, radar, television, computer, internet, and many other breakthroughs on technology and medicine. technology is advancing at an extremely rapid rate. whos to say that within the next 700 years, we'll still remain purely biological? u have to understand that Man's oldest and most 'unattainable' dream at this point is to create a 'Superhuman', or a 'Posthuman' being, a human capable of above-average human intelligence and physical abilities, including social skills. very soon we will create the first posthuman to ever walk the earth. he'll be 50% machnized, his thinking skills aided by biocomputers, his vision enhanced by cameras that interface with his brain, including receivers that help pick up sound at the sides of his head, and a brainwave-transmitter device that allows the posthuman to think of something which will be picked up by the device as brainwaves, code it in computer language, then send the message to his receipent.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:We are still Homo sapiens, at least to me.
Daily use of technology doesn't make us another species. Dependence doesn't make us another species. If you know the theory of evolution, it doesn't work this way. It involves genes and the environment.
we were a noble species at the dawn of human history. we learnt to master the tools of the world, to fight for our very survival. but, there is a problem with us. it is our ability to IMAGINE. Imagination has enabled us to think beyond our human understanding, to see PAST the barriers of the world, to SEE into the future and predict events, like the coming winter, or where the animal would move. With Imagination as our tool, we have ruthlessly slaughtered animals because they post a threat to us, we have meddled with technology and genetics, killing deformed or abnormal babies, and keeping the normal ones. from a technological point of view, we are already evolving through this brutal process of artificial selection (killing deformed or abnormal babies, and keeping the normal ones). we are the only animals on this planet who have imagination. homo erectus, homo habilis, neanderthal all DIED out because they couldnt imagine and secure their survival. but Homo Sapiens COULD! but instead of respecting Nature, the most of us spit on the ground, cut trees down, spray paint on the grass, pluck flowers, bash up bees and wasps nests...humanity is a PLAGUE, a DISEASE!Originally posted by thinkdifferent:We are the parasites on this planet, the bacteria, the viruses, the cancer, the doom for this planet. the planet does not have a mind, so although it may kill us through a natural reflex towards humanity's actions, it wont know. yes, when a species of a planet exerts his world beyond the limit, the planet will fight back through alot of ways.Originally posted by thinkdifferent:I heard somewhere that we are the disease of this planet and that the planet will start to protect itself and kill us. we are indeed parasites. we only care for ourselves, stripping this planet of its resources and wildlife, and what do we give back in return? Nothing. although a small minority of us protect wildlife and the natural habitat, it is not because we actually CARE about it, but because of fears that a loss in natural habitat could mean our EXTINCTION. you see, everything humans do is solely because of ensuring our survival. we dont even give a fcuk about anything else. after earth is wasted away, we'll progress to the moon to mine for its minerals, then head to mars, terraform it, live on it after Terra is dead...Originally posted by thinkdifferent:We are using and misusing our host, same as the parasites do. By 2700 AD, I am lying on the cold hard earth. If they are our future descendents, it would be more of medical than anything else. Scientists will treat it as mutation. Unless, it is becoming more common, then evolution might have started.Originally posted by SixSentinels:dont u think the greys, reptoids and nordics are the creatures from our future who come visit us? like i mentioned, they have almost similiar features as ours, so either we are the result of panspermia or they are our future descendants.. this is just another theory yes, but it helps us think beyond our human understanding.
Fears of loss of natural habitat doesn't make us extinct. Rather, the extinction of other species which we feed on are what they fear. Once they go extinct, what do we rely on to make sure our bodies are healthy? Man-made vitamins? They are known to have side effects. If we take in straight from the animals and plants, side effects are probably lesser, excluding allergies.Originally posted by SixSentinels:we are indeed parasites. we only care for ourselves, stripping this planet of its resources and wildlife, and what do we give back in return?
