give your pc specs...if u dun giv all the imformation on hardware and what u did petaining to thisshi tty messno one can help u recover data at an affordable pricing....who knows mayb even free of charge if u know how to...try to learn even i know if u got no time...once u know next time got the same prob u can help yourself

my one got hundreds of MPEG and motions pics all can be seen with good health and chances of recovery via free online receovery software so u say impossible? but i never need to recover anyway because i ddo lots of backups...something i learn the very first time since i get to work on computers a few years ago after losing data...in fact if u backup regualarly, u can beat recovery byebye

okay what i will do if i am using this drive as a working drive in my computer is to get an external mod case and rig it up so that it is recognized as an external hdd, or connect it asa a slave drive (not boot drive) in the computer (u need another hdd in this case) and try to see if you can access your files in the computer now. if can just transfer all the files prior to formatting the hdd unit.
okay if u can access this maxtor drive with its OS then downloadthis freeware to see if you can attempt to recover any of the image photos and files u may have lost or not able to gain access to. You will find that this freeware show the status of the condition of the photo files, whether it is good to recover or has its track been overwritten by newer data saves. If you have verified that most of you photos can be recoverd, you may want to buy the full version online (or hunt for any other recovery software) and install it on the computer. The most important thing is try not to work and save too much data on this drive if you intend to recover data from it...coz the data stands a higher chance of getting over-written. -

go any sftware shop got alot of recovery software one can pick up locally ...like what i said try with the freeware to see if your files can be seen and the condition first...if most can be seen and condition good...most recovery software picked off the shelf can do the trick...try shops in funan (e2000) or at challenger mayb got the recovery software u need. afterr this incident please get external backup solutions in plce....i know u may be into photography (flim) but every pro will know that the digital age is taking over and working your photos witha comp is inevitable...u just hav to hav the very basic hardware in place to ensure your photo collection integrity..

why not u try newmanback suggestion? download the freeware first for the initial probe, then if needed later buy another software.

or get the hdd company to help recover...maxtor sg selling over to Seagate but i think product supoort group may b available...quick if really need very pro help once u know go find them....even if u can afford no one want to spend extra when u can do the recovery cheaper and the easieer way -
redstone, i could take a look at your drive. if it's recoverable, i'll let you know the charge (definitely lesser than $500) and you decide to proceed or not. If I find it's not recoverable, no charge to you and you can get back your drive. There'll be no physical disassembling at this stage. If a new/used HDD is required to stored the recovered data, it could be provided by you.
Drives that fail to work due to software failure (e.g. infection, bad registry, missing MBR) are easily recoverable and costs less to recover than those drives that fail due to hardware failure or bad sectors.

yeh lor bluff who so easy...even a drive that cannot boot into the os giv me i can recovery all the files and even program files inside for you...the good thing is i need not let you provide the extra hdd require to do the recovery i can even burn all the recovered data on a cd/ dvd and giv it to redstone
