Read below, why is it i don't believe that the Forum is not taped adhoc. I somehow still feel that the "public" was briefed before the intereview on what they can ask and what they cannot ask.
They 'dared to ask the PM' - in TV forum
A HAWKER, a film director and a taxi driver were among nine Singaporeans who gan wen zong li - Mandarin for 'dared to ask the Prime Minister' - anything and everything, in a television forum of that title.
They quizzed Mr Lee Hsien Loong on such issues as the cost of living and freedom of expression, and shared their thoughts on the ageing population, and their hopes and aspirations for Singapore.
The hour-long forum, which was taped on Wednesday morning, was conducted in Mandarin.
It will be shown tomorrow at 9pm on MediaCorp TV Channel 8.
The panellists come from a cross-section of Singapore society. They range from hawker Clement Yip and cabby Lim Ching, to film director Jack Neo and lawyer Jennifer Lim, who is a council member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Also in the group are Mr Seah Kheng Yeow, centre director of Fei Yue Family Service Centre; Mr Robert Lee, chairman of a senior citizens' club in Teck Ghee ward; Mr Choo Thiam Siew, president of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts; Ms Chang Li Lin, manager of the Institute of Policy Studies; and Mr Tan Chee Tiong, a technician and general secretary of the Chemical Industries Employees Union. -

2 months ago, my school organised a public forum which would be aired live on News radio 938. The purpose of the forum was to air the views and aspirations of the future generation of Singapore.
I was selected to participate in the forum. However, prior to the forum, I had to attend 3 meetings and brefing sessions to, in the words of my teacher, "ensure that the forum does not turn into a PR disaster". -

i guess singapore society has become one where if there are things that are lacking, nobody has the right to demand change and improvement. now it has become an attitude that if "not happy then leave"
if people really just shut up and leave if they're not happy instead of speaking up, singapore will DIE within 50 years u wait n see.
