i suggest the government implement a law that everyone has to bring a mini fire extinguisher with them whenever they step out of their house.

well, if anyone is to fight fires, it'll be the guys who will do it. been through NS? not PES E? go fight the fire!
the weight of the extinguisher is made on the compromise of quantity and human ability to carry it. if u have small ones, how many ppl u need to put out the fire, with so many small extinguishers shooting at a fire?
if only one or two person is around to fight the fire, how many times u wan him to run and get all the small extinguishers and use one by one.
this is not party spray can leh. -
the probability of having a person in a train able to carry a 10kg is very high. no worry no worry.

A 10KG fire extinguisher is easy to handle though it seems very heavy. Gone through the training before and it's in fact quite light weight.

firemen. if firemen can't handle 10kg extinguishers, they're not firemen lor..... -
WHat's the fuss about? 2 men can do that. One will hold the main container. The other will man the hose tube. Generally, the ones gonna fight the fire is usually men. But think again. If the fire is big, will the men stay behind to fight the fire? Or will they run away to safety as well?

Of course we have to judge by ourselves whether the fire is too big or will endanger our lives before we stay to fight it or retreat.
