Consider it a Bad Debt.
I doubt you'd ever see a fraction of that $100 even... Given her credit reputation, she can be given $100 a day for pocket money, yet she would still have problems managing her finances, much less pay anyone else back.
She seems rather 'shameless' to me - and with a person who's that way, you can forget about using harsh / crude tactics (not that you would!) either.
It wouldn't matter to her in any way.
Now it's $100... maybe it could be $100,000 in the future if she continues this way. Take it as a lesson learnt, though. It is tough to trust people nowadays, especially when it comes to money matters. -

She also complains that it is really stressful when people want their money back from her. I mean, if she knows she can't return the money, why did she even borrow it in the first place? I don't think I'm being unreasonable here, am I? I gave her 5 months to return a hundred bucks. If she took the effort to save up a measly dollar everyday, I'm sure she'd be able to pay her dues aready.

i'm in a similar situation as you. i lent a so-called friend $150 about a year ago. till now, still haven't gotten the $$ back yet. knn
we were thinking of going to his house and asking from his parents... but till now still no action.
The problem is, that you have no proof that u lent the $$ in black n white. he can suddenly turn around and say "Got meh?" then you are screwed.
it's ok lah, $150... can make easily
but then again, any extra money would be useful.
I suggest you bring this matter up to her parents if you both are still underaged, if not.. be firm with her, threaten... whatever since u've got only this friendship to lose
after you get your money back, dump her. if she can't even return what she has borrowed, no point being friends, she will never help you = 'fair weather friends'

"You jie you huan, zai jie bu nan" translation: return what u have borrowed, so its not difficult to borrow again

when you lend people money always assume it will never come back to you.
Alternatively you can get proffesional debt collectors to hound her down for you. But dunno the amount of money spent to hire them will cover your cost or not... -
It's quite common lah. For adults, I would simply just suggest that you can forget about it cause that person might just not pay you back. But for young kids like you gals, I would suggest that you let her learn her lesson. Approach her again for payment in a nice way and if she refuse, simply just tell her that if she don't pay up you'll have to inform the parents/teacher about the matter and explain that you yourself are student who isn't earning an income.
This kind of people, you let them off too often it'll becoma a habit for them to borrow money with the mindset that they can get off the loan by dragging and dragging.
But of course sad to say, if she ever return you the money, I would think that it's going to be the end of the friendship. hey..i've got the same problem as you before.
this friend owed me about $100. i trusted her and gave her time to return(about 6 months ar). she always complained to me she was very poor. but pi lor. she buy clothes ar..one piece about $300 de leh. that time chinese new year..she promised to return me my money..so i waited for my money to come before going shopping for new clothes. but no ar. she did not return. she blogged about what clothes she had bought for chinese new year...adds up to $800+!!!! -_-" then she told me she had no money. wah lau. she one month earn $1000 (she retaking her Os...so she could take full time jobs). then she always tell me what...her family is poor and everything..she has to pay bills and stuffs. my family also poor lor. i also pay my own sch fees and earn my own pocket money...
so anyways, everytime i ask money back from her right, she will say until she very ke lian...no money..but i read her blog huh..she's always spending money on unnecessary stuffs.
so i learnt from her. she say she poor...i also say i'm poor. i told her i'm still waiting for her to return me money so that i can buy new year clothes.
wa. then she became very mad! she said i was childish...ask me why i keep saying im poor...did i think she will pity me all these crap. when she was scolding me, i was thinking in my heart, "ya...why you keep saying you are poor..i can't stand it also lor."
then she ended the friendship saying she didn't want to see me again. oh ya. before that she asked for discount on the money she owed. i was thinking, better get back some than none at all, so i agreed.
but the friendship has ended la. she ownself end one. siao zar bor.
really learnt my lesson. don't anyhow lend out money. my aunt told me this after she heard my plight. coz last time she kana cheated by friends also.
but then again...how to reject a friend if he/she borrows money from you? it's difficult right.. -
That's the issue with human compassion.
We can't reject their pleas cos they are our friends, and thus often we get ourselves into a fix.
Me had lent to one of my friends a amount of $24k, and she promised she would return this amount over a period of three years, but everytime me had to discreetly message her to pay her dues. It was fine for the first 2.5 years that she would pay a few $k every quarter of the year. Lately she suddenly gone 'disappeared' and no response from her.
Me don't think me would be able to get my balance back anymore. Just had to treat it as a expensive lesson learnt to understand her. -

Even better to ask others to accompany u, i mean some of the frins of both of u lah, so tt she wont feel being bullied. Best is ask the person who told u abt her 10 bucks a day and 20+ bill a mth to join so tt she cant lie when u tell her tt. -
Nothing you or those who loan her money can do about it. She will never going to repay.
But what you can do, is gather the other person and let the rest of th class know so that no more people fall victim to her.
