How long before you get a job offer?

For those graduated from poly, how long before you got a FULL-TIME PERMANENT job? Please serious answers. Don't for the sake of showing off anyhow say. I just graduated and it has been one month and about a dozen applications but no job offers yet... why no one wants me?

im working in this industry. the market now favours the employees. its impossible u are still out of job. maybe ur resume smth wrong.

Reduce your demand by half maybe got some chances, else at least 6 months and unlucky one year also have. Me send direct to companies and some is govt job lor. i got diploma in ECC results is average B+. My resume quite ok leh. And i did send cover letter. Then also got send cover letter. Until now only got one interview but i screwed it up.

i think u can forget about govt jobs..... esp when u're a freshie....
And if u send to companies... just imagine the number of people applying the same position as you.... how many of them have the experience.. it's not surprising if you hear no news...
well, maybe u should try agencies, but be prepared to get part of ur pay "eaten" up by them... get some solid experience and then hop to a job with a better pay -

one of my friends went for an interview at an agency today.. and guess what..they offered her(a degree holder) a 1.5K job coz she has no relevant experience.
thats a very sad case.

Then y they bother to advertise? Anyway how long can I expect to be asked to an interview after I send my resume? SIck and tired of waiting...Weekend send some but today no one call mi.

don't forget to save money from your pay too, don't spend it all within the 1st week of pay day.

They need someone to fill up the position
and I believe they get alot of response.... thats when quality control comes in..
if those companies have a lower budget , they won't mind freshies.. coz fresh grads demand a lower pay than those with experience. but if someone with experience comes in and accepts that 'low pay'.. thats it.. who do you think they will shortlist?
if they have a high budget, of coz they only want those with experience... who wants to employ people without experience for so much $$$??
thats why usually.... fresh grads gotta start from scratch... with miserable low pay.... don't expect too much first... -

anyway, every agency takes commission from their candidate's pay... its just whether you see it, or not. my first temp job was $7/hr. and i heard from the HR that the pay was actually $10/hr. just imagine every hour i work... they makan off $3..... what the heck.....
recruit express charges 50 bucks for every successful job match i heard.

Oh man. think i better send as many resumes as possible. But what if I send 10 then 8 offer me job and I accepted one then my dream job came up but I am already working?example only.
