that's why now there is this "GEMS" thingy..Originally posted by BaBy_JaP_WaWa:this happen when me n my bf went in to take a look at some clother n we didn't know that we're not allowed to bring drinks into the shop. after browsing thru in the shop for abt 5 mins, there's this malay staff who approached my bf (as he's holding the drink) and she used this very rude tone and manner to tell my bf that drinks aren't allowed in the shop. this is wat she said, "one of my staff told u that no drinks are allowed and u are still holding the drink!." i was like a metre away from my bf n i could hear the staff talking to my bf. the problem is that no staff had approached him n tell him that drinks are not allowed and the malay staff was so fierce.
we both looked at each other and i told that malay staff that i dun see any staff approaching him telling him that drinks are not allowed my bf agreed also.. then the malay staff asked him so it wasn't you? i mean she dun even noe whether she got the right person. even if a customer dun wann listen the staff also have to say it in a polite manner.. wat stupid service is this.. i should have scolded her in front of everybody n make her embarrassed..
another incident was i wore slippers into zara at orchard then when the staff wanted to get thru mi n my fren she didn't even say excuse mi n jus walk thru us as thou we're invisible then after that we asked her where can we make payment she didn't even look at us n jus pointed to the opposite direction..
now i noe y tourist say singapore service is bad.. cos singapore staffs canot even serve singaporean ppl properly how can they serve tourist properly..
this is the worst customer service i have ever had.. wat is the worst customer service u had or seen?
not me not me.Originally posted by gasband:Consumers play a part too. I dare say many consumers take GOOD SERVICE for granted and complain when given bad ones. Ask yourself first, what have you done to deserve GOOD SERVICE? Just because you are a customer? Anyway I am not in a service line but i believe I made that fellow's day when I say thank you for clearing the table at the hawker centre or when i wrote an email to the HQ to compliment an excellent staff at Esso Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim. What have you all done?

What does wearing slippers and the service got to do with each other?Originally posted by BaBy_JaP_WaWa:this happen when me n my bf went in to take a look at some clother n we didn't know that we're not allowed to bring drinks into the shop. after browsing thru in the shop for abt 5 mins, there's this malay staff who approached my bf (as he's holding the drink) and she used this very rude tone and manner to tell my bf that drinks aren't allowed in the shop. this is wat she said, "one of my staff told u that no drinks are allowed and u are still holding the drink!." i was like a metre away from my bf n i could hear the staff talking to my bf. the problem is that no staff had approached him n tell him that drinks are not allowed and the malay staff was so fierce.

ya, rite! wif ur kind of attitude singapore will never improve.Originally posted by stellazio:who cares..singapore will never improve..
There is another view to this. When you join the service sector, what does this signify to the customer? It signifies that you represent customer service, you represent the company's policy of good customer service. Therefore, when a customer enters a shop, most will have that basic expectation to the service. Providing good service does not equal customers must praise the staff. It means that the staff has probably fulfilled the expectation and nothing more.Originally posted by gasband:Consumers play a part too.
