Malaysia won't build new bridge to Singapore -Bernama
KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 (Reuters) - Malaysia has aborted plans to build a bridge to replace a causeway linking the country to Singapore, state news agency Bernama said on Wednesday, quoting Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The decision was reached after taking into consideration the public views and sentiments, particularly the supply of sand and Singapore's use of Malaysian airspace, Abdullah was cited by Bernama as saying in a statement.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian government has decided to scrap a controversial bridge project to replace a causeway between Malaysia with Singapore.
The decision was announced by the Prime Minister's Department on Wednesday. -
well, tat'll mean they have one less factor to consider if they ever want to settle bilateral issues, so they dun feel the need to accede to singapore requests in exchange for their requests when it comes to bilaterial issues.
and they can spend the money on other projects in the country... -
So I reckon that 20 ringgit per foreign vehicle rule would most likely be scrapped too?

anyway they build half the bridge also no use.
they need sg's consent to buuild the other half what.
they shouldnt have started building in the first place. -

We have more combat aircraft than Malaysia and Indonesia combined... The number of tanks and combat vehicles, artillery and support equipment surpasses even those of certain European countries.

I'm more worried for those countries. It still puzzles me to this day as to how people have the misconception that the SAF is a "small defence force". -

Even if a few were to side our adversaries and send warships over, perhaps they can be "persuaded" to change course with our inventory of hundreds of anti-ship missiles -
