Is Asus laptop good?

  They're quite good. Frankly, they're way better than acer, but don't tell anyone I told you that.

  CFRP keyboards and casing, mil spec design, if ASUS was ranked 10th, ACER would be 101th.

  In terms of specs offered, Asus is kinda lacking especially in the graphics area. Acer tends to offer the latest stuff in their products.
  
  Also, one short coming about the Asus brand is the lack of standardization on their packages. It leads to greater consumer confusion to a certain extent.
  
  Asus warranty offering better, if I rem correctly. 2yrs international.

  Don't bother with the dual core chipset crap unless your into heavy gaming, and animation. Laptops aren't very customizable and upgradable.
  
  The centrino chipsets offer better value for money if your into normal applications, desk work etc.

  my previous laptop was an Asus.
  
  i say: NO GOOD!!!
  
  it gets hot easily, was unstable because of motherboard problem, and finally it crashed beyond repair...
  
  LOUSY!!!

  p3 is pentium 3 lah
  
  dual core oso not very stable now
  alotta complaints about the ineffective load-balancing
  
  centrino is good enough lah

  i bought in end 2000
  
  used until dec 2003 crashed beyond repair
  
  once bitten twice shy, i won't believe how good it can ever be..
  
  now i use back IBM - my first laptop was an IBM, till this day it's still working, then Asus is the second one, now IBM again... very happy now (centrino)..
