If you listen to peoples opinion before buying a laptop you will never ever go into buying one.Based on my research all latest laptops have an equal number of pros and cons.so it all depends on you. Asus is very good when in comes to weight and style but it just gets hot very very quickly and also warranty is max 3 years only

Yeah asus is a good buy.. they are the world's no.1 leading motherboard makers. now they came out with the 1st leather notebook. wasnt it great

I own a ASUS A8J. I love it cos its damn light, doesn't heat up easily and is very stable even during hardcore games. Batt life is not bad... got it during PC Show. Anyway NEVER get ACER. I've heard tons of horror stories and when I did some part time selling laptops the highest rate of return and damage is definitely ACER. Repairing an ACER is as good as buying a new one since its damn costly too. Thinkpads are good and stable but are on the ex side and not good with games. Dell is cheap and have good specs but only the Latitude series seem stable.

1. The load balancing between the two cores are very unstable, at times, it will hang.

Asus has their own good points, nice design, specs are quite good too. But I would swear by Acer anytime, their specs are better and cheaper... and they last long if you know how to take care of it. No point giving you the world's best laptop, if you don't know how to take care, it won't last long. -
