I like reading all chinese novels..one of my love is this one. Who was the smartest people inside...
Peoples praised Kong Ming, he was great and loyal indeed.
Why the stories ended with Shi-Ma Clans united the 3 Kingdom then. Hence the victor is utlimately Shi-Ma Clans.
Kong Ming is so smart yet he did not beat the 2 kingdom then.

In order to win u must have the correct timing (tian shi) be at the correct place (di li) and the right people (ren he). Kong Ming is good and thus regarded as a threat by all nation while the Ma Clan keep a very low key that why not many arrow head is directed at him.

Kong Ming is definitely very smart in tactics..cannot doubt..overall only 1 fault which is the biggest mistake..

Even kong ming had unified the 3 states, it would eventually crumble as liu bei son is really useless.
But in the end, the sima's empire also fell due to reasons I am not sure of.... it only lasted for 1 emperor if I am not wrong
Can anyone enlighten me on thsi point

sima yi came into picture pretty late. due to the time frame difference, you can hardly compare them on the equal ruler. Can you say that sima family is a failure because their empire ended several dozen/hundred years later? -

I can give you many examples. Liu Bowen will be good. If you seen dramas, Liu Bowen was bestowed the Imperial Sword (shangguan baojian) by the Emperor. He travelled incognito and whenever he met trouble, he just flashed the sword and even princes have to kneel to the sword man.
