oh my com 2.8mhz. I am using some budget radeon graphics card.
btw just tonight alone my com kena "Your monitor is working. Please check your video cable plug" when i start up. then I off the com, then like move the plugs abit here and there, then it works fine again. 2 times lor! why ! -

You also need to know whether your HDD is using SATA or IDE, cannot just anyhow buy.
If you still have the mobo's manual, read through it to find out. If you lost it, open up the CPU and peeked inside. -

i bet your comp is 2.8Ghz, but first hand budget radeon card should have no prob...only budget second hand adeon card mayb. since u get the message "Your Monitor is working...." , whyare u makin so much noise hear? when u get loose parts and worn out mold case on connectors or plugs or cables tis is why some alignment, on/off, pluggin in and out, shifting hear and there will fix the prob at times.Originally posted by N|ck:oh my com 2.8mhz. buildin PC seems very easy but if u tink the easy way out is ask hear ask there and anyhow get parts to assemble a PC is cool and can show off u are wrong! when u ask for help u hav to provide all the necessary info so that ppl whom have encountered and solved the problem/s before can better help u.
first and foremost u have some history and specifications on all computer parts to learn about before u even want to hope to tell the world with pride that u learn how to assemble a PC on your own with minimum supervision.
otherwise just go get an OEM PC and got any prob call their helpdesk lah
