  If its pruely for work and does not requires high end applications like Autocad series, then any brand will do.
  
  However, If it is only meant for work, then IBM would be ideal. Its got many features to protect your datas and safty issues. Yar, the design is not fantastic, but designs are not needed for work

  12.1" and 2.2kg is considered heavy.
  
  A 13.3" laptop weighs lighter than this.
