Leave policy

  I know a friend who is currently doing his I.A. His company policy is: interns cannot take leave.
  
  However, interns are allowed to take overseas trips leave. (to take a break, and rest???????? )
  
  But my friend wants to take a half day break to rest but the company not allow.
  
  ILLOGICAL??
  
  Why must taking a break in overseas be allowed but taking a break LOCALLY not allowed????
  
  Inconsistent in their policy.

  hmm... the problem is, he is towards the end of I.A and think he should take a break cos never take. But some people have like functions or overseas trip or whatever and can take?
