You ask for low priced HDB Housing. Do you think that voting Opposition will miraculously change fundamental economic laws and result in a boom of cheap housing options?
HDB in case you are unaware, is government-subsidized housing. Left to free-market principles, their costs would be significantly higher. Ever wonder why there is a long waiting list for HDB Flats? Demand outstrips supply. Please don't point to empty flats in Sengkang or Pungol. There will also be undesirable (less desirable to be more precise) locations that do not have full occupancy.
Judging from your pictures, you obviously have the time to follow politics and raise three children. In my opinion, the government has certainly done well enough for you. The government does not owe you a life filled with happy vacations, high paying jobs, or fancy condominums. They work hard, and successfully I might add, to make sure that most Singaporeans have a chance at education and housing. The rest is up to you to secure by your own onus.
Stop complaining about what the government owes you and start looking to advance yourself, both socially and careerwise.
I Love Singapore, and I think the PAP has done right by us. Although they do stack the cards for themselves (who can be blamed for a little self-interest), theres a reason why the majority still votes for them. -
