hi, im an old fan, but now i want to collect tranformer toys. will any kind soul please tell me where to start?
i just want to know the price of my fave chars, 1st generation. And where can i obtain them. my fave chars are: optimus prime,starscream,soundwave,and many others

I am also a toy collector. But I am not into robots.
I collect movie and comic charaters.

U might want to check out the local Yahoo auctions for a start. Can try to go China Square Central on Sunday mornings to check out the flea market there. U will meet lots of G1 TF collectors down there.
As for shops, u can drop by Falcon's Hangar or Toysnation at Far East Plaza.

ya i'm a big toy collector too, big fan of transformers.
unopened G1 transformers can go up to hundreds of dollars. for starters u can go to sg yahoo auctions. lots of selection there. or china square central every sunday for the toy flea market.
i also recommend the japanese takara binaltech diecast transformers modelled after real cars. many are familiar character from the cartoon in the 80s.

those 2nd hands opened, played before types maybe up to $100+ depending on quality. don't think many shops in sg sells G1s. yahoo auction is the best place. -
oh i see. so many versions, making me confused lol, the last one i watched is beast wars. i havent seen the jap ones. oh, where can i find the new ones, the ones that transform into cars, i like to WRX and Optimus prime one lol (how much dose it cost?)

japanese one will defiantely be more expensive. but the quality is better.

you have to go to ebay, travelling around the countries..
btw, toy collector is not cheap. for example, one 1st generation transformer can be more than SGD1000. ... -

u mentioned u like soundwave.
here 2 version of soundwave below. the blue one is the original G1. the black 1 is the G2 version.
takara reissued both of them not long ago. i managed to get the black one for $95. prices can go up to $100+ for the reissused and $200+ or more for G1 originals.

yup, ive seen this ones on the internet, only one thing weard about sound wave, his legs are skinnier then the cartoon one lol.
