China Square has plenty of shops that sell such stuff. Need to check timing of opening, sometimes they are closed quite often. Weekends is a good time to go there.
Far East Plaza has may 3 or 4 shops. Try level 3 Falcon's Hangar. Establish a good relation with the proprietor and can give cheaper price.
I think Orchard Cineleisure still has one shop that has a fairly good collection of Transformers. There was one more shop there previously but I think they shifted to Funan Centre. -

how can 1 appreciate the toy when 1 don't even play with them? usually those people who only want to make money by reselling the toy will not open the box so as to retain the value.
imagine a beautiful piece of Binaltech but u don't open it and just leave it in the box in car mode. that's not the way to appreciate a toy. -

usually metallic and cast in a die..

they have a mold and they pour molten metal into the mold.. the thing then comes out in the shape you see

not sure about toys but speaking from a technical point of view..
they may actually have several parts die cast then connected?
i dunno.. don't have many toys.. the only die-cast things i had were those little matchbox toy cars
