Coz the company HR dont consider Locals Talented , People like to buy foreign goods , nobody in Singapore likes to pay more for Local Goods , Same for people.
So Foreign = Talented , Locals = Low Wages no Talents .
Locals are so replacable by FTs , This is the HR/Management policy.
It takes so much effort to get them their Employment Passes that even if they cannot work with the team in Singapore , they get posted elsewhere becoz the company had arranged for their stay here . -

Well, this race issue has been debated and brought up time and again, and everytime the SAF issue comes up, the Lee family keep bringing up the point about malays not being ready...not being ready for what?
And i cannot stand them giving excuse that if spore ever go to war with malaysia, then malays may not want to kill the malays from across the border. But then, SAF bring in malaysian chinese into SAF can! How like that? They think the malaysian chinese born PR wont have second thots about going to war with their remnant family members in malaysia? Why the double standards?
Well, for me its just sad that as a malay or muslim born in singapore, our loyalty to our own country is questioned. And somehow the loyalty of a PR or foreignor coming here to live is of purer standard. -

malaysian-born chinese and indonesian-born chinese are denied many military positions in their own countries malaysia and indonesia.
when singapore goes to war against malaysian and indonesian armed forces,
their ethnic chinese won't be among them.
so our malaysian chinese born PR won't have to worry about fighting their remnant family members -

I noticed from the start of the thread you keep saying "not being fair to da minority". And so far from what you are argueing, its only about a job not being offered to you.
Really no offence, but since you are quite sure, can you please list what are the unfair treatments that the minority get? Other than not being offered a job?

Answer to that is YES. I know of people who went for mandarin classes and got those mandarin spoken required jobs. And they are malay. And I spoke to Mendaki directly myself. The school fees for MALAYS, I REPEAT MALAYS AND NOT MUSLIMS, is free. Only need to pay the miscellaneous fees. Not cheaper or what so ever. So of course lah still must pay for some stuff. Then expect canteen food also free meh? Just an example that one..
Sometimes, when we think that something is unfair or prejudiced, it is equally unfair for us to judge them immediately because unless we know the truth and the underlying reason, then we can judge them or whatsoever.
So about the navy thing for example, unless you spoke to the Chief of Navy directly you don't know the actual reason so it will be unfair to make a judgement. -

Another question I asked you. If you are non-chinese, but you can speak fluent mandarin, hokkien, tamil, hindi, cantonese, malay, english, and some others, and provided you have an impressive CV, WHICH company wouldn't want to recruit you? Especially, if the company seeks those chinese spoken also. Unless, they specifically ask for Chinese people then, that is questionable right? You don't know exactly their customer base and what they require mah. If the company deals with only people who don't understand anything apart from Chinese language, it is only right and logical they require and hire those who are able to converse in Chinese right? So if you want that job, then make an attempt to go for mandarin classes. If they still reject then questionable already right?
About the Chinese Prs thing, don't really know much so not gonna make a comment about that... -
