I note that you say that their minds and conscience and not Christianity or God that are doing the damning. Maybe for some people, that might be the case.
You then went on to say that the way to ignore or reject the concept of eternam damnation is to get rid of one's conscience.
I would like to point out to you that you need not get rid of your conscience to get rid of the idea of eternal damnation.
I note that you said that winning an argument will not change someone's stubborn idea. That is why I mainly ask questions to provoke deeper thoughts rather than offer solutions. Work out your own salvation. -
You are misreading here. I meant that the existance of God is irrelevant in the course of the evolution of the universe. If you want to study the universe, man is forever bounded within the laws that were (designed?) by a said God. whatever evidences of how we come to be, this universe and the very existence of time herself are all found and analyzed (i wouldn't say, presumed or estimated) from fragments of the earth and the legacy from the past.
there are strong and concrete evidences that humans used to be savage beings related to prehistoric apes. however understanding that they were very much like us since they eat, live, breath, breed and die we have to know what created them in turn and the evolution within.
i believe humans are the by-products of the evolution of the universe.
why ask the questions when there is no answers/ why seek the truth when the truth is within.
