I think many of them are concern wif fashion andimage
i dun deny I too spent $ on new clothes and that but many of them in my opinion are going really overboard wif their spendings
Take juz take one of my female friend for exp,she'll borrow $ first and den pa back her borrower during pay day..and her expenses on clothes is like 800+
I'm not generalising the society but i know many are like that
Walk in town and u'll see many carryign branded sutff and sort
It's alrite if u like the item but for me i tink many buy juz for the sake of image

Whenever i walked in orchard wif my friend,the way i look at the yougsters,somehow i feel the singapore of tomorrow will b pretty bleak
yes,theres still the gov and his cabinet to handle issue but one day,they'll have to step down,what will sg do if our youngsters of tml r imcompentent or does not have the social skills to success?

its their issue how they manage their cash and spend their money.
it becomes their parent's issues when they free load or siphon money from them. If teens wants to look like a star and media tells them they need to be so to be accepted. However, during those times, to tell a teen not to do so is like telling a stone to produce water. -

but nowadays teens are tall -
Society changes, we adapt to it lor.. Last time hp not much need mah. Try having no hp, quite difficult for most of us in today's world. Internet also. Since, we are more exposed to the fashion world, the teens also become more fashionable lah. Character and mentality during the teenage period will always be the same but it is the influence of the society that points out the difference between teens in different eras.
