which is better? singnet or starhub...i got trapped seah...sign up for the 512 plan too early..now i see all the BB internet plan..all so cheap...

i was on snbb for 2 years... it was fine for the 1st year... then came the 2nd year.... the damn thing kept disconnecting.... there would be that retarted static noise on the phone... if that nosie was on... i would be connected , it it were off.... there goes my inet.... then i got pissed and moved to starhub... no disconnections... but occoasionally has slowdowns.... shared inet .... oh well dont do any online gaming... thus still happy with starhub...

I never had this problem while i was on my old 512kbps with SNBB. Actually it is not that it is not stablized..
It's just the refresh thingy for the bloody log in ST in wee hours everyday that causes you to go offline.. once in a while.
And if your speed is good enough, you might not notice the reset.
Anyway, Starhub Cable Vision isn't that nice either, their reset is similar to a women's period. Once a month and can take a week to clear.

but which is a better choice? singnet for me not so much problem..just that some time i cannot connect..and my 512 is downloading (shhhh...) anime at about 60+kb..no disconnection...but the problem is sometime the internet is dam laggy..especially at night..

Actually from feedbacks gathered from my friend using SH, i notice that those living in crowded towns like Tampines or Bedok tend to have slower speeds compared to those living in private housing. For SNBB, most of the time its singnet who is screwing up. My d/c normally happens at night and connection slows down a little, resetting the modem does the trick most of the time. But really.. speedtouch 585 suks, time to get a new modem.
Any recommendations? -
i using tecom 1...most of the time connection problem i guess its either with this modem or ST...but 90% of the time is okay...but the speed for 512...60+ isit reasonable?or considered slow..

the last time when i was still using singtel i also did that but then dunno why after a while ppl can call in and the net wun disconnect but then the phone will be full of those connection sounds like jao sia ambulance like that, and also the speed of singtel that promises me 8mps became 1 mps dunno why also, so now i'm using starhub and its all fine nowOriginally posted by ^tamago^:buy a new micro filter and try.
