Bittorent and Azureus

What's the difference between them and which one can download faster, and how much faster?

im using bitcomet atm... but since im using the crappy starhub, both BC and Azureus are slow. theres this new bittorrent client called uTorrent..alot of ppl say good but ive yet to try it.

I'm using BitComet 0.65. It kinda sux as it keeps getting an error.
Didn't have this problem when I was using 0.62 though. -
Slow?? Using Bitcomet?? I can d/l near 105kb/s using Starhub.
U must limit ur upload speed to 7kb/s max for Starhub cable. Cos their upload and download are sharing the same pipeline. There are also some settings in Bitcomet u must configure to obtain max download speed. Read the help files. -

flayn how u config ur bit comet to optimise your download rate?? mine cant seem to exceed 1kbs leh........
oh ya when i upgraded to 0.65 everytime tio error, so i reinstalled my 0.57 and im using it again. -

One important thing is don't use a router but connect with a broadband cable directly to modem. No firewall will block the client from scanning for peers, I have tried and the speed is tripled.

The difference is that azureus uses java.

i think azureus supports some encryption and utorrent, the one im using, randomize the ports every time u start auto.. which u can do it manually la, but added convenience.
i support utorrent now, seems more stable den bitcomet.. which suddenly lags like hell a month ago. -

I get an average of 200kbps with my Azureus. The fact is if you can configure it very well, Azureus can definately get better speed than Bittorrent or most of the other clients.
However, Azureus is the worst in terms of RAM sucking. Another words, it needs more memory to operate than any other clients. uTorrent needs the least, and even its instalation file is only 100 plus kb. I tried it and it did not match my Azureus's speed however -
I am with Starhub too! Fact is, I never limit my Upload speed, but only limit my Down speed so i can play online games while downloading. When ran into lousy torrents with few seeds, i get 50kb/s. You can use a router. Just do a simple static ip address and then port forward configurations. P2P is legal. What makes it illegal is the type of items you download. All items without official distribution lisense is illegal for downloading. For example, someone bought a DVD movie. He then ripped it out and seed it for other people. This item will be illegal as its legal distribution lisense is only in the form of a DVD. Once ripped and largely distributed, it will be against the law.
In short, anything you want but usually needs to pay for it will be illegal if you go and download it.
As whether or not you can be traced and caught, very unlikely but possible -

i using singnet 512 wired broadband. no use wireless -

Wired doesn't mean you don't use router. Is there a router? Whats is the number of seeds and peers for your torrent?( give me the total, not the connected ones) SIngnet 512 means 512kbps download max is it? I not sure coz i with SH. nah i doubt so leh..my bitcomet downloads stuff at the average rate of 2-5kbs. its fuc.king slow if i wanna download large files... SIAN
