i have ulcer both on my tongue and my lips.any way of curing them and preventing them? i heard from my mom drink more water can prevent and put salt on it can stop. so i tried. but put salt.u juz around a short time not pain ..after that the pain returns. and btw any explanation for this? y u put salt after a while not pain?

hot water add lotsa salt.. guggle on ulcer area. keep doing that.. it works for me..

if it's a one-off thing, can put salt but not everyday. once or twice is enough, it'll start to fade away cos it's enough to kill the germs. put too many times and u'll hurt urself. drink more water. refrain from fried and heaty stuff.
if urs is persistent kind, then good luck to u. a lot of factors come into play, from dentitures to viral sores to eating habits etc.... -

there is no way to stop the pain, unless u get painkillers from dcotor. ask for tramadol. will help, but dun expect much.
ponjela is more for those who get it cos of lack of vitamin c, something close to scurvy.
watermelon is more for those who eat too much fried food, stay up for too long etc, causing heatiness, then it will be effective.
if u have sensitive teeth, which using normal toothbrush will increase the probability of getting sores due to the SLS ingredient attacking the protective membrane, use sensodyne. -
looks like what threadstater as is more than the normal ulcers that can be get rid of easily. i suggest u pay a visit to ur doctor. If its persistant.

i'm also having it at this time i'm writing. mine is due to dry mouth and poor dentitures. at night certain positions i sleep my teeth will bite on my lips. and if i dun drink enough or nobody kiss me
my lips will dry up quickly and the thing will keep coming back.
plus i'm a pisces, somewhere along the digestive system bound not to be strong. for that case, can eat more fish meat and drink stuff like apple juice etc. -

it only affects certain ppl, and i think mine is acquired kind, that means my inner flesh exposed for too long liao ba.... others, they have tooth pain when drinking cold stuff, i had a bit a while ago, if i try to use straw to spray at my teeth directly, now the symptoms disappear le... -

dunno leh.. i may not be dreaming as well, but i noe last time i can get awaken many times cos i bit on my wound and ouch!
i will kena if i sleep facing up, somehow the mouth will open then sometimes will close and bite.
but if it sleep sideways, very safe. the jaws will not move... -
