Just after acknowledging that you then go on to describe God as:

>>> the rest of the description of "God" is how the Christian will interpret Him.
"a 100% holy God... "
"the only perfect sacrifice acceptable to God "
"all our "works" (trying to be holy & religious, do things that we think is pleasing to God etc) are like filthy rags "
"God also says we have to go to Him and be cleansed"
"we stand in front of Him and hope to hear these words "Well done, good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of the Lord.."Originally posted by casino_king:
You have created an idol in your own finite head, having presumed to know God. This idol in your own head is as real as stone statues you see in various temples.

>>> Not true because what I have described is all from the Bible, which is the Word of God. The Christian looks towards Jesus Christ who was God in human form when He was on earth..Originally posted by casino_king:
So put your Faith in God. God, that no finite human mind can intepret or comprehend.

>>> yes, put your faith in God, and continue to seek Him and find out who He really is..He says in the Bible "You shall seek and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.." At the optimum time, He will reveal Himself to those who truly and sincerely seek Him. [/quote]

Is your Faith in God or Faith in the God described in the Bible? Can a book; inspired by God or otherwise; fully explain God? If your Faith is in the God described in the Bible; you have an idol in your head. It is an idol because a book, even one inspired by God cannot fully explain God. Even if you find an encyclopedia that fully explains God; can your human mind then fully understands what the book says?
When do you stop seeking God?
